The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 49 is one of the largest sailing yachts in Santorini. The number in the model name refers to the length – 49 feet, which is almost 15 metres.
The yacht was built in 2004 and renovated in 2020. The main idea of the Jeanneau shipyard in designing this sailboat is to sail fast while maintaining comfort at sea.
The main saloon is spacious and light-filled, with natural light streaming in through ceiling hatches and two rows of windows along the sides of the hull, creating a sense of space.
Speaking of outdoor relaxation at sea, this 49-foot yacht has a large deck with comfortable seating areas – definitely enough room for sunbathing. At the same time, a large awning can completely cover the aft seating area, allowing you to spend time in the shade.
As a basic itinerary for a half-day charter, we suggest a cruise through the inner part of the Santorini caldera. It is shown schematically in the slideshow of photos above. In 2024 the cost of renting a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 49 sailing yacht with skipper for 5 hours for a group of up to 6 people will be 750 euro. Every additional guest on board is a 105 euro extra. If you want to rent a sailing yacht for the whole day, the cost will be 1600 euro, regardless of the number of people in your group. The maximum number of guests on board is 12 persons.
The yacht rental price at the beginning and end of the season is lower – only 750 euros. This price is valid from the beginning of the season until May 1st and from October 1st until the end of the season.

It depends on the location of your hotel or villa. Some cities of Santorini are famous for their narrow streets, which are not so easy to walk even on foot. So in some cases you will need to walk to the main road, some nearest square or parking place, where a car or a tour bus can pick you up. If your hotel has good road access, then the transfer will be able to pick you up directly from the hotel.
After placing an order, you will receive detailed information about the place and time of the meeting, as well as all the necessary documents. Please read them carefully beforehand.
During the season in Santorini there is a lot of sun and very little shade. So you will definitely need sun protection: special cream, glasses, headwear, and so on. If there is a possibility of motion sickness in transport, we recommend that you take appropriate pills an hour and a half before departure. If you plan to sunbathe and swim, bring your swimwear. There are towels, masks, snorkels and flippers on the yacht. If you choose the sunset option, make sure you have some warm clothing with you, as even on a hot day it can be chilly in the sea at night.
All passengers on board should have their passport or ID card with them in case the port authority performs a check of the ship. A paper copy or a photo on a cellphone will be sufficient.
If the weather does not allow you to make the yacht trip in Santorini, we will try to reschedule it for the next day with good weather. If there is no such date, we will refund the entire amount of your payment.
