Excursion details

Evening bus tour to one of the most beautiful and famous places on the island, where you can not only walk around the caldera villages and viewpoints, but also take great pictures at sunset in the village of Oia. This is a shortened version of the full itinerary, where you will have visits to three caldera villages, one of which is the most picturesque village on the island.

You will be able to see the following Santorini attractions:

  • Firostefani village;
  • Imerovigli village;
  • The Skaros rock;
  • The fortress of Agios Nikolaos;
  • Oia village at sunset time.

The bus tour begins in the evening with a trip to Firostefani, a charming village perched on the rocks of the caldera. The village is very well located, offering a magnificent view of the island’s capital, the Caldera, the sea and Nea Kameni volcano. The white houses and the blue domes of the churches – it all starts here.

The next village on the route inside the caldera is Imerovigli. It is situated as high as possible in relation to the other villages, so that it has a beautiful view of the sea, the volcano and the other towns in the caldera. Imerovigli also has charming architecture and a serene atmosphere. Snow-white houses, beautiful chapels and churches, narrow cobbled streets – this is what it is all about. Also in this area is the rock of Skaros, which often becomes the main character of the “postcard” photos of the island.

It’s almost sunset, so the best way to end this trip is to watch the sunset over the castle of Agios Nikolaos in the village of Oia. The ruins of this castle are on the northwestern edge of the caldera and are particularly beautiful for watching the sunset over the sea.

During the trip to Oia you will also have time to walk around on your own and enjoy the stunning evening atmosphere and beauty. Approximate time of sunset in Santorini this week – 20:09.
