A small catamaran for small groups, an interesting route, excellent service and delicious food and drinks on board – that’s a brief description of this boat trip.
The Lagoon 450 is a catamaran of almost 14 meters in length and takes up to 14 people on a board, and the route is along the caldera of Santorini: from north to south in the morning and from south to north in the evening. On each of the cruises, you’ll see the stunning scenery of Santorini and all the key sights of the caldera:
The Lagoon 450 sailing trip begins in the morning on the northwest coast of island in the port of Ammoudi (Amoudi). The captain takes the catamaran out to sea and the journey begins. The catamaran goes to dormant volcano, near which there are deep hot springs. The sea has an unusual color here that varies from bright green to orange and brown – all because of the dissolved substances in the water. In thermal springs you can swim, but swimsuits are better to choose in dark colors 🙂 By the way, this part of the caldera offers a stunning view of the west side of Santorini.
Let’s go on! The sailing catamaran will pass by the small island of Aspronisi and will take a course to the east – to the area of the Akrotiri Peninsula. There is an old lighthouse on the rocks in the area. By the way, one of the rocks in these places looks like the profile of an Indian – and therefore is named accordingly.
The next stop is at the secluded White Beach, where you can swim and have lunch aboard the catamaran. You have an hour and a half in this area, after which another beach awaits you, but this time in red colour.
The cruise can be called an “all-inclusive” – depending on the selected time of the trip, lunch or dinner will be offered on board. The menu includes traditional Greek dishes, fried shrimp, Greek salad, grilled chicken and pork souvlaki, pasta with red sauce, stuffed grape leaves and roasted vegetables, as well as soft drinks, beer and local white Santorinian wine.
In the middle of the day, the catamaran arrives at the southern port of Santorini in the village of Vlychada (Vlichada), where the morning tour ends. The evening tour starts from here, following the same route but in the opposite direction. The end will be the sunset in the sea near the village of Oia and the port of disembarkation is Ammoudi, northwest of Santorini. In each case, a bus will take you back to your hotel at the end of the boat trip.

Before going to sea, it is necessary to issue some special documents (forms with information regarding route, crew and all passengers). To do this, we need the full name (as in the passport), gender, age and citizenship of all participants. Please keep all documents and tickets until the end of the trip!
It depends on the location of your hotel or villa. Some cities of Santorini are famous for their narrow streets, which are not so easy to walk even on foot. So in some cases you will need to walk to the main road, some nearest square or parking place, where a car or a tour bus can pick you up. If your hotel has good road access, then the transfer will be able to pick you up directly from the hotel.
After placing an order, you will receive detailed information about the place and time of the meeting, as well as all the necessary documents. Please read them carefully beforehand.
Santorini has a lot of sun and almost no shade during the summer. You will definitely need some sun protection: sunscreen, glasses, hat and so on. If there is a possibility of motion sickness in transport, then we recommend taking the appropriate pills. Take your swimwear and towels (if you plan to swim). You are required to have the original or copy/photo of your passport or ID card with you.
No, you’ll be on a catamaran the whole time.
There are no limitations. It is desirable to be able to swim 🙂
The morning cruise starts at 9:45, so you will have plenty of time to have breakfast at the hotel.
Lunch is planned on the catamaran and is included in the cost of the morning trip.
If you choose the evening option, dinner is planned on board and is included in the cost of the catamaran trip at sunset.
The crew will cook you a BBQ, and the menu will include Greek salad, chicken fillet, pork chops, shrimp, roasted vegetables, dolma, vegetarian dishes. Of course, water and soft drinks in unlimited quantities, as well as white Santorinian wine.
Yes, english-speaking staff will tell you about the places you will be visiting along the way.
