Perhaps the most detailed and informative sightseeing bus tour in Santorini is a grand ten-hour tour of the island. First of all, this trip will provide you with an excellent opportunity to see the most beautiful places and the most important sights of Santorini in one day. Secondly, during the day you will visit one of the island’s wineries, and in the evening you will head to the most picturesque village on the island, Oia, to watch the sunset.
A sightseeing tour of Santorini includes visits to volcanic beaches, archaeological sites, and, of course, the famous white towns both on the island and in the caldera. You’ll see traditional snow-white houses, blue-domed churches, Venetian castles and the intricacies of Santorini’s narrow streets. For example, Emporio is a lovely quiet traditional village that boasts Cycladic buildings, old churches, wonderful windmills and one of the five fortresses of the isle.
On this trip you will see almost all the key sights of Santorini:
One of the stops is planned to be on the Mount of the Prophet Ilias, the highest point of Santorini, which offers stunning views of the entire island. On a clear day, when the air is crystal clear, the whole island is visible: there are small vineyards, snow-white villages, beaches and the sea to the left and right, and neighbouring islands in the distance.
There will also be time to relax on the island’s volcanic beaches. At the Red beach you will have a short stop: green crystal clear waters, reddish volcanic rocks, as well as red sand and pebbles look great in photos, so this place is definitely worth spending 20-30 minutes. But swimming here has become dangerous, so the big beach stop is planned for Black beach – there will be enough time to walk, swim and sunbathe. There you can have lunch in a traditional tavern if you wish – the village of Perissa has many taverns, small cafes, beach bars and traditional restaurants where you can taste the local cuisine. Everything will take about an hour and a half.
No island experience would be complete without wine tasting, so the tour of Santorini continues with a visit to one of the wineries. The island is renowned for its unique vineyards and wines, which owe their quality to the volcanic soil, so this is an experience not to be missed. A tour of the winery will introduce you to the process and history of winemaking on our island. What’s more, this winery offers a spectacular view of the breathtaking caldera and volcano, so you can take lots of great photos and taste three different local wines in a picturesque atmosphere.
A sightseeing tour of Santorini begins around 10:30 in the island’s capital and ends after sunset in the village of Oia. This is the “postcard town” known for its delightful architecture and incomparable view of the sunset. Pastel-colored houses, churches with blue domes, and wonderful cafes and restaurants are all on the nearly vertical walls of the caldera.
In the evening, all you have to do is ask the weather to be kind, and you can watch the world-famous sunset from the ruins of an ancient Venetian castle. Approximate sunset time in Santorini this week is 18:42.

It depends on the location of your hotel or villa. Some cities of Santorini are famous for their narrow streets, which are not so easy to walk even on foot. So in some cases you will need to walk to the main road, some nearest square or parking place, where a car or a tour bus can pick you up. If your hotel has good road access, then the transfer will be able to pick you up directly from the hotel.
After placing an order, you will receive detailed information about the place and time of the meeting, as well as all the necessary documents. Please read them carefully beforehand.
Santorini has a lot of sun and almost no shade during the spring and summer. You will definitely need some sun protection: sunscreen, glasses, hat and so on. If there is a possibility of nausea in transport, then we recommend taking the appropriate pills. You may want to buy something during your trip or to have lunch in one of the taverns, so consider taking some cash with you for these extra expenses.
Not too much. On this trip, small hikes through villages, towns, and ancient archaeological sites are planned. These are going to be fairly easy to walk.
It is not recommended to take very young children with you in case they get motion sickness on the bus. It is not advisable to bring a stroller with you. It may also be difficult to participate in the tour in a wheelchair due to the uneven terrain in most areas.
The morning tour starts at 10:30, so you will be able to have breakfast in your hotel.
At lunchtime we plan a trip to the Black Beach, where there are many traditional Santorinian tavernas to suit all tastes. On average, lunch will cost 15-20 euros per person, depending on your choice of food.
