Excursion details

The Lagoon 500 and 520 are medium sized and very comfortable catamarans of 15 and almost 16 metres respectively. Such catamarans can take on board up to 20 people, who are comfortably accommodated on two levels – a large deck with several seating areas and a flybridge with sofas.

The Lagoon 500 or 520 cruise follows the route of the entire caldera of Santorini: the catamarans set sail in the morning from the port of Ammoudi (Amoudi) in the northwest of island and head south to the port of Vlychada. On this trip you will see from the sea all the key sights of the caldera:

  • Hot Springs and Volcano of Santorini;
  • Aspronisi island;
  • Akrotiri peninsula;
  • Indian face Rock;
  • Ancient lighthouse;
  • White beach;
  • Red beach.

The morning boat trip begins at the port of Ammoudi near the village of Oia. The first stop on the route will be in the area of the hot springs, where there is a great place for swimming near the volcano. In addition to the unusual color due to dissolved substances, the temperature of the water in the sea here is always higher! It is believed that swimming in thermal waters is good for health, precisely because of the mineral composition.

After a half-hour stop, the captain will head south as the catamaran passes the island of Aspronisi to the Akrotiri Peninsula, the ancient lighthouse and the rock of the Indian. Ahead are colorful volcanic beaches, swimming in the sea, and lunch!

The longest anchorage – an hour and a half – is planned in the area of White Beach: here you can swim in the sea, swim to the shore and, of course, have lunch on board the catamaran. All meals are prepared using local produce and ingredients, and the menu includes Greek salad, grilled chicken and pork shish kebab, roasted vegetables and stuffed grape leaves. Of course, there are a variety of refreshments, including beer and local white Santorinian wine.

Not enough swimming? The next destination is Red Beach, where you’ll have another half hour: you can watch from the deck, or you can swim to the shore and walk on the red sand. This beach is considered one of the most popular and most photographed – all because of its unusual landscape and the color of the sand and rocks.

After visiting Red Beach, the catamaran will sail to the port of Vlychada, where a special shuttle bus will take you to the hotel.

Important details

Please read Cancellation and Refund policy.

In case there are less than 24 hours left before the trip, please book only after agreeing with the manager on availability.

Before going to sea, it is necessary to issue some special documents (forms with information regarding route, crew and all passengers). To do this, we need the full name (as in the passport), gender, age and citizenship of all participants. If you already have this information, you can write it in the comments field when placing an order.

You will receive your tickets by email or WhatsApp – whichever is more convenient for you.

Please keep all documents and tickets until the end of the trip!

It depends on the location of your hotel or villa. Some cities of Santorini are famous for their narrow streets, which are not so easy to walk even on foot. So in some cases you will need to walk to the main road, some nearest square or parking place, where a car or a tour bus can pick you up. If your hotel has good road access, then the transfer will be able to pick you up directly from the hotel.

After placing an order, you will receive detailed information about the place and time of the meeting, as well as all the necessary documents. Please read them carefully beforehand.

Santorini has a lot of sun and almost no shade during the summer. You will definitely need some sun protection: sunscreen, glasses, hat and so on. If there is a possibility of motion sickness in transport, then we recommend taking the appropriate pills. Take your swimwear and towels (if you plan to swim). You are required to have the original or copy/photo of your passport or ID card with you.

No, you’ll be on a catamaran the whole time.

There are no limitations. It is desirable to be able to swim 🙂

The morning cruise starts at 10:15, giving you time to have breakfast at your hotel or in one of the tavernas.

Lunch is planned on the catamaran and is included in the cost of the morning trip.

The crew will cook you a BBQ, and the menu will include Greek salad, chicken fillet, pork chops, shrimp, roasted vegetables, dolma, vegetarian dishes. Of course, water and soft drinks in unlimited quantities, as well as white Santorinian wine.

Yes, english-speaking staff will tell you about the places you will be visiting along the way.

This is not a historical tour, so there will be no extensive material or in-depth presentation of information. It’s more like a sea trip on a catamaran to admire the views and the sunset.

The main language of the tour is English.
