An almost private cruise around the Caldera, in a small group of up to 14 people on a small motor catamaran, the Fountaine Pajot 46. This is Santorini’s only motor catamaran that means its deck is completely free of sails and ropes – there is no such gear, just seating and lounging areas!
All the catamarans from this builder have an interesting and well thought-out design, and the motor-only versions offer a high level of comfort on deck. The catamaran is excellent for relaxing at sea, and for its size has a large flybridge, a spacious galley, a beautiful bright saloon and… it doesn’t depend on the wind!
Motor catamaran cruises around Santorini’s caldera run twice daily. Both, the morning tour and the sunset tour, start from the port of Ammoudi (Amoudi) and end there. The itinerary is also always the same – a small difference takes place only cause of the sunset time, so on either of these trips you’ll see all the key caldera sights from the sea, and some of them you will even visit:
A motor catamaran will take you around the caldera’s impressive cliffs to the volcano’s hot springs, where you can swim in the thermal waters. Next on the itinerary are the small uninhabited island of Aspronisi and the Akrotiri Peninsula, home to an ancient lighthouse and the Indian Rock, an unusual rock formation shaped like a face. Have you seen it? Time to hit the beaches!
During the tour in the morning, a long stop at the White beach is planned: here you can not only see the white rocks, but also take a swim in the crystal-clear sea. Bathing equipment (masks, snorkels, flippers…) and towels are provided on board the motor catamaran. The captain will drop anchor at the White beach, where you will not only be able to enjoy a swim, but also have lunch. By the way, thanks to the higher speed of the motor catamaran you’ll have more time at the thermal springs and around the beaches.
Please note that the catamarans are anchored very close to the beaches and the hot springs, so it is possible to swim to the shore. If you don’t feel confident, the catamaran crew will provide you with a life jacket.
The evening catamaran tour with dinner on board and meeting the sunset at the sea will follow a similar route, but the longest stop for dinner will be near the Red beach.
The menu in both cases includes traditional Greek salad, fried prawns, chicken and pork kebabs, roasted vegetables, pasta with red sauce and stuffed grape leaves, as well as various drinks, including our local Santorinian white wine.
During the sunset motor catamaran trip, the final point of particular note is the return to the port near the village of Oia. In the evening, it is very, very, very beautiful! The view is amazing!

Before going to sea, it is necessary to issue some special documents (forms with information regarding route, crew and all passengers). To do this, we need the full name (as in the passport), gender, age and citizenship of all participants. You will receive your tickets by email or WhatsApp – whichever is more convenient for you.
Please keep all documents and tickets until the end of the trip!
It depends on the location of your hotel or villa. Some cities of Santorini are famous for their narrow streets, which are not so easy to walk even on foot. So in some cases you will need to walk to the main road, some nearest square or parking place, where a car or a tour bus can pick you up. If your hotel has good road access, then the transfer will be able to pick you up directly from the hotel.
After placing an order, you will receive detailed information about the place and time of the meeting, as well as all the necessary documents. Please read them carefully beforehand.
Santorini has a lot of sun and almost no shade during the summer. You will definitely need some sun protection: sunscreen, glasses, hat and so on. If there is a possibility of motion sickness in transport, then we recommend taking the appropriate pills. Take your swimwear and towels (if you plan to swim). You are required to have the original or copy/photo of your passport or ID card with you.
No, you will spend the whole day on board and swimming around.
There are no limitations. It is desirable to be able to swim 🙂
The morning tour starts at 10:30, so you will be able to have breakfast in your hotel.
Lunch is planned on the catamaran and is included in the cost of the morning trip.
If you choose the evening option, dinner is planned on board and included in the price of the sunset catamaran trip.
The team will cook you a barbecue and the menu will include Greek salad, chicken fillets, pork chops, prawns, roasted vegetables, dolma, vegetarian dishes. Of course, water and soft drinks in unlimited quantities, as well as white Santorinian white wine.
Yes, English speaking staff will tell you about the places you will visit along the way.
This is not a historical tour, so there will be no extensive material or in-depth presentation of information. It’s more like a sea trip on a catamaran to admire the views and the sunset.
The main language of the tour is English.
