How to book and pay for excursions in Santorini


There are two ways to book a tour on the island of Santorini:

  • Choose a tour in Santorini and pay online on the Santorinika website. It is very easy, like in any other online shop;
  • Make a booking without advance payment on the website and pay in cash to our courier. To arrange a meeting with a courier you could just make an advance payment. So the courier will come to your hotel, villa or apartment, bring all the necessary documents and take the payment in cash.


Please note that a courier is not always available for a personal visit: the courier’s schedule is usually very busy. We recommend that you only choose this payment option if you have plenty of time before your tour date (a week or more).



Thera are many reasons to buy a tour in Santorini from home.

First, during the high season (early June to late September), there are usually no seats available on popular group excursions for the next week or two.

The same problem exists with private tours. It is almost impossible to find a free helicopter, yacht or catamaran for the same day or for the next few days, especially for the sunset tours. We have many guests during the high season, so the yachts and catamarans are booked weeks in advance, as well as some guides or photographers. Therefore, we recommend that you book your helicopter tours or yacht and catamaran rentals from home, this way you guarantee that these services are reserved just for you.

The second reason is that at Santorinika Agency we sometimes give a discount on pre-booked tours. It can be 5%, 7% or 10%, sometimes even 50%. If you decide to buy excursions in Santorini while you are already on the island, we will be happy to give you an additional 50% discount for your children on most excursions.

Finally, the most important thing about your vacation is time. You need a lot of time to plan the perfect vacation program, to choose the best activities for the reasonable price, to organize the program and to get the tickets. It is also desirable (but not obligatory) to fill your phone number and messengers (Whatsapp, Viber, Telegram) if you use them. By phone we can contact you in case of need;
  • After filling in the order information, choose the payment method “Bank card”. After that 100% of the total amount will be available for payment. Now the order is ready, you can send it by pressing the “Send” button;
  • When you click “Submit Order”, you will be taken to a secure bank page where you can pay with any Visa, Mastercard or Maestro card, as well as American Express and Dinners Club;
  • After successful payment, check the email box you provided during checkout. We will use this e-mail address to send you information about your order, payment, and other details.



To pay online, any Visa, Mastercard or Maestro as well as American Express and Dinners Club card with the holder’s full name, expiration date and verification code on the back is suitable.

Please note that all appointments must be made in advance: we schedule courier appointments weeks and even months in advance. Please avoid last-minute reservations if you wish to pay in cash. In addition, some services do not allow payment to the courier. In this case, there is no such option on the booking form.



No. All group and private services are scheduled in advance. Bus, helicopter, yacht, catamaran or ship seats are not available without advance payment – there will be guests who have already paid for the trip.

Final reservation of seats and issuance of tickets will be made only upon full payment of the excursion price.



After the payment of the order, you will immediately receive an e-mail with an information letter with all the details of your order. In a short time (usually within 24h) we will send you all the necessary documents: a tourist voucher and detailed information on how to get to the tour.

If you choose to pay in cash, we will arrange a date and time with you to meet a courier for payment.



Our managers will contact you to make an appointment with the courier at your hotel, villa or apartment for the next available time from the courier program. Please note that during high season we have many orders and all couriers are almost fully booked. Sometimes the next available appointment is the following week. In other words, meeting the courier “today” is not always possible.

If your order includes boat, catamaran, yacht or helicopter rides, the final booking of tickets and seats will be made only after full payment has been received by the courier. Please keep this in mind when planning your vacation on our island.



There are extra payments for some excursions. For example volcano entrance fee. On some tours the extra payments are already included in the price. On other tours you have to pay your ticket on the spot. There is always information about this in the description of the tour. Please pay attention to the field “Extra payments” when choosing excursions.



A Tourist Voucher is your ticket for an excursion or an official document for any service, such as a trip with a private guide or a catamaran rental. It contains all the information about you and the trip and has a unique number that is used to verify all the data before, during and after the trip.



No problem! You can simply show your voucher to the driver or guide from the screen of your phone or tablet. All you need to do is write down your voucher number on a piece of paper and show it to the driver or guide. Each driver and guide has a list of customers and voucher numbers, so they will check for your name in this list.
